Anton Ginzburg (b. 1974, St. Petersburg, Russia) lives and works in New York, USA. Solo shows include Blaffer Art Museum, Houston, USA (2014) and Palazzo Bollani, Venice, Italy (2011). Ginzburg's practice explores historical narratives and poetic studies of place, representation and post-Soviet identity. He uses an array of historical and cultural references as starting points for his investigations into the contemporary experience, through multiple media such as film, sculpture, painting, and text-based printed work.
