Ryan Gander (b. 1976, Chester, UK) lives and works between Suffolk and London, UK. Gander’s complex and conceptual practice touches on an assortment of subjects and media, ranging from installations, sculptures and photographs to performative lectures, publications, inventions and interventions. His work involves a questioning of language and knowledge, as well as a reinvention of both the modes of appearance and the creation of an artwork, encouraging viewers to make their own associations in order to unravel the complexities staged by the artist.
